Meet our Pastor
Daniel A. Turner

In a time of unprecedented religious confusion, our Pastor, Dr. Daniel A. Turner loves to talk about the simple message of First Century Christianity. Back then it was all about following Jesus, not starting a religion.  Committed to restoring the unity of the church through a return to the teachings of the New Testament, Pastor Dan's love for the people can be seen in his encouraging messages, his challenging teaching and in his personal service to our congregation. “Dr. D” received his formal training at Mid Atlantic Christian University (BA) and Emmanuel Christian Seminary (M.Div, D.Min). He majored in New Testament studies and  Church History and wrote his doctoral dissertation about the value of small groups in a traditional church.  Pastor Dan, and his wife Hazel have three grown children, Lori, Gretchen, Benjamin, one granddaughter and five cats!

Meet Our Worship Leader
Timmy Johnson

Timmy Johnson serves as the Worship Leader at Community Christian Church, where he has the joy of leading the congregation in Christ-centered worship each week. With a heart for helping others encounter God’s presence, Timmy is passionate about creating an atmosphere where people can freely worship through music and prayer. Timmy is also passionate about growing the church and bringing others closer to God.

Timmy deployed to Iraq with his military unit for approximately one year, between late 2022 and 2023. While overseas, Timmy was active in leading worship for the military base chapel. Timmy traveled between two different chapels in Iraq leading worship. Timmy and other soldiers even put on a 4th of July concert for troops overseas, which included stage lighting, performance tracks and pyrotechnics. After returning home, Timmy has been committed to leading the Praise Team to new levels of excellence.

Beyond music, Timmy helps prepare worship services with Pastor Dan and he works for the community.   He loves spending time with his wife Dusty, his children, Jerrick, Adalynn and new born Wrenlee!   Timmy is still in the military and drills monthly.
